Is it really important to have an about me page or a contact me page on a blog? At first I did not have either one of these set-up on my blog, actually many bloggers do not have these elements on their blogs. While reading up on Mike Haung’s Bloggin-Ads.com I read is post on the Importance Of Having An About Me and Contact Me Page on your blog. Now this post really got me thinking about my blog and what I was missing out on. What hit me the most was the fact that how can my readers get a hold of me if I am not giving them the way to do so.
The next thing that hit home was that you should ad as many ways for your readers to add you as a friend in social networks. Makes sense right? The more options we give our readers the more loyal the will be. The cool thing is even if you already have these pages set-up you can benefit from Mike’s post.

I have about/contact pages on blog not just to inform my readers about my infos or my motivation to write blog. I’ve write blog’s contact page with more just my email address or a contact form. I’ve write my name and I reveal my identity to increase the trust of my readers on mine. I want to be one real person for my readers, not just one blog writer.
About page is very important , if one of your articles get dugg or stumbles then the new visitor coming to your blog is likely to check out who the blog owner is. Contact me page is also a must , its a great way for your readers to contact you and also its important for people who are looking to do a business deal with you.
It’s good that you realized it and applied it because having an about me page allows your readers to see what kind of person the writer is and the contact page is also important to gain feedback besides the comments.
