Back in January 08′ Leo of zenhabits.com introduced a fairly new concept which drew some great attention.
He decided to allow use of his content to anyone with or without credit.
I believe that this policy has helped his site out a bit. “Correct me if I am wrong”
Could removing your copyrighting policy help your blog?
So what is copyright policy looking like lately? Feel feel to tell me about your policy in my comments section.

I guess that it depends on how people are going to use it. I would get pissed off if copycats would use my content for revenue.
@Asswass I myself would go insane if I would find that happen to me. One day I assume that it will. And when it happens I will get it taken down for sure.
P.S.
Have you tried copygator?
I think that everyone should copy right there information, What if no one would copyright……we would have doubles everywhere on the web and in life. It what makes your site diffrent!
@ Jose You are correct. I think it sucks when people put some hard work into something, And some jerk comes and takes it and claims the work.
@shaunjudy – Agree completly.
I cannot comprehend the purpose for this anyway. I think it is really stupid to allow people to copy your content without providing any credit. There are trackback features in every blogging platform. If someone going to use content, they can at least use that feature. Also, I think it encourages people, who are too lazy to write their own content.
That is strange to not have a copyright. Several years ago someone stole every article I had written on one of my sites (around 100 articles) and created almost an identical site to mine. On top of that he submitted almost all the articles to EzineArticles.com which they accepted and displayed.
To say the least… I was REALLY MAD! It took me over a month to get both sites to take the articles down after I discovered it. Unfortunately, several sites had already taken many of my articles and displayed them on their site giving the thief credit.
Now I am much better of keeping track of my content with Copyscape.com.
@Doug I am happy to hear that it all worked out in the end. I would recommended that you try Copygator it is free and monitors your blog via ping. Unlike copyscape. Oh yeah they will shot you an e-mail when something comes up as well.
As long as those people credit to the original creators when they copy articles, that should be fine. Problem starts when they claim the ownership of the articles. I had problems with copyright infringement when someone submitted my articles to Ezine Articles but the Ezine team is doing a great job by removing the articles within a few hours after I reported to them.
@Sarah The issue is that I see is that his policy does not require any credit for the use of the content.
You can do anything you wish with it.
